Government invites National Broadband Network proposals I don’t get it. What’s the point of building a national broadband network when our main issue is lack of international bandwidth? I can get 20Mbit right now with ADSL2+, but I can’t download more than 100GB without spending a small fortune. Why not encourage (primarily through de-regulation) the private sector to build more international links instead of wasting billions of taxpayer dollars on this?
